Plus is a very experienced in providing training to various target
groups such as:
- peer educators
- volunteers
- health personnel
- journalists
- drug users
- students and teachers
- social workers
- Training of trainers
- Police officers
Already we have a team of trainers
specialized here or abroad. The team is composed by social workers,
doctors, peer educators, psychologists, teachers etc:

- Other independent
trainers/consultants are invited from the Faculty of Social
Sciences, from regional or international networks.
At present we develop our training
sessions in Tirana (Methadone Center, and in the Harm Reduction
Center), in Berat, Kruja, Durres, Shkodra and Korca. Our trainers
from Tirana are facilitating some of the training in other towns.
Apart from small training sessions with 8-10 participants, the
Social Youth Center has organized extended seminars with more than
40 participants.
We collaborate with other NGO
s/GO/Agencies not only in training but also in other joint
activities: (Institute of Public health, UNFPA, UNICEF, Family
Planning Association, Galen Club, National Program on AIDS, Ministry
of Culture and Sport etc).
Aksion Plus trainers have developed
and printed two training manuals:
- How to start a Harm Reduction
project in a given area (funded by UNICEF)
- Promoting human rights of
youth in general and particularly drug users (funded by SIDA and
UNFPA)
Other training manuals have been
developed according to certain projects or interventions.

limited to peer education/AIDS/STI/Drug use. In several cases our
volunteer social workers develop complementary topics as required
from the participants; life skills in general, gender issues, stress
and crisis management, managing a project, reporting, PR activities,
how to set up networks etc.

Training schedule
Training schedule is very tight and
interesting. One time or two times a week with peers, drug users and
social workers. Social workers are particularly concerned to attend
these sessions, as their knowledge is very limited about STI/HIV-AIDS
and drug use maters. They find this training very useful and
professional.
